Soul Calibur has long had a presence at OHN, dating back to Soul Calibur II at OHN2. FaYd (NSW) recently won the GamespotAU tournament for Soul Calibur V, but what will happen once the game is released and double elimination is used? |
| The top 16 players in SC5 will receive Road to Evo points and the Final 4 will be streamed on the Sunday of OHNX. SC5 at OHNX is sponsored by Namco Bandai Partners. |

The King of Fighters series has received numerous DIY tournaments at OHN over the years. For some it just wouldn’t be OHN without Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike making an appearance. 3S was an official OHN tournament game from OHN1 to OHN8, and was the main attraction at OHN5 where the Sydney vs. Melbourne rivalry for 3S was at its peak. |
While the popularity of 3S has declined since the release of SF4, the game still has dedicated competitors in both Sydney and Melbourne. Which state will claim victory now that the competition has migrated to the PSN release of 3S? |
The classic that started it all returns! It doesn’t get any more “pure” than the arcade version of Super Street Fighter II: Turbo. OHN appears to be the last bastion for ST, a game that missed out in the early days of OHN because the game wasn’t available in Sydney arcades at the time. |
At OHN9 the DIY tournament for ST enjoyed an excellent turn-out, with Vlade (ACT) taking the title for Canberra with his dominant Zangief. Will Canberra retain the title at OHNX, or will a competitor from Sydney, Melbourne or elsewhere put an end to Canberra’s ST domination? |
Considered the “spiritual” successor to Guilty Gear, BlazBlue Continuum Shift: Extend is the latest update to the BlazBlue series. Although BlazBlue enjoys the most support in Melbourne, there is a dedicated fanbase for the game in Sydney which includes a number of Soul Calibur players.
