To see the full results for each official tournament, check out the live online brackets from OHNX. Keep an eye on the OzHadou forums for full results for SC5, KOF13 and other DIY tournaments at OHNX.

Finally for all players that placed top 16 in SSF4:AE, UMvC3, SC5 and/or KOF13 at OHNX, please email us with the valid email address you’re most likely to use when registering for Evo 2012 so that we can secure your Evo seeding points. This needs to be done quickly or you will forfeit your points.

Congratulations to all our OHNX champions, and thanks again to everyone that participated in OHNX.

Live Online Tournament Brackets

Have you ever watched a live tournament stream and been unable to work out what’s going on because you can’t see the state of bracket? Or have you ever been at a tournament and had to badger the judges to get a look at your next match? These are familiar scenarios that we’re looking to eliminate at OHNX with the introduction of live online brackets.

By using templates we’ve prepared up in Google Docs we’ll be providing live bracket updates on the web for all the official OHNX tournaments, as well as the finals brackets for our DIY Road to Evo tournaments and even match results for the Capcom exhibitions.

Here are the links to the live online brackets for OHNX. There are two versions to choose from: web pages which should be compatible with any web browser, and Google Docs spreadsheets where you’ll be able to watch the bracket updating in real time.

OHNX Brackets – Web Pages

OHNX Brackets – Spreadsheets

Finally, during the OHNX weekend you’ll be able to keep track of all the action right here on the OHNX website. We’ll be providing quick-links to live streams, brackets and community discussions for OHNX.

On behalf of the OHN Team I’d like to wish all OHNX competitors good luck, and we look forward to seeing who will Claim the Throne in 2012.

Capcom Exhibition Rundown

On Sunday the 19th of February the finals for all official and Road to Evo tournaments at OHNX will be taking place. In addition to deciding the 2012 Australian National Champions in SSF4:AE, UMvC3, TTT2, SC5 and KOF13 we’ll be giving away over 30 great prizes in the OHNX Prize Raffle.

However if that’s not enough hype matches for you, check out OHNX from 7pm on Saturday the 19th of February where we’ll be running a series of exciting exhibition matches in Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. There will be 3 state rivalry team exhibitions run using the a-cho format. Captains will announce their teams and then secretly determine their team orders and character selections.

For SSF4:AE a team cannot have more than 1 of any given character and Ultras are not locked. For UMvC3 no 2 players on the same team can have exactly the same 3 characters, while assists and character orders are not locked.

Here’s a rundown for each Capcom exhibition match at OHNX.

Sydney vs. Melbourne 5v5;

Winner vs. Brisbane 5v5

Captains [NSW] ABM|KG and [VIC] Shadowloo | ToXY will be throwing down in the latest version of Capcom’s Marvel vs. series, with the winning team earning the right to face the Brisbane team captained by the Australian MvC3 National Champion [QLD] NefeliousG.

Sydney vs. Melbourne 5v5

The classic SF4 interstate team match is back, but this time there’s a twist. Although Sydney has won this throwdown 2 times straight in Melbourne (BAM 2010, SS2011), that was under the “winner stays” format with Humanbomb anchoring the team.

Captains [NSW] robsux and [VIC] Shadowloo | ToXY will take the stage to prove which city is now the strongest in SSF4:AE v.2012 under the a-cho format.

[NSW] ABM|KG vs.
[VIC] Antman FT10;

[NSW] ABM|KG vs.
[VIC] Shadowloo | ToXY FT10

[NSW] ABM|KG is well known for calling out the best players and putting them to shame in front of an audience. For OHNX KG has called out two of Melbourne’s biggest names in UMvC3: [VIC] Shadowloo | ToXY and [VIC] Antman. KG will play each opponent in a first-to-10-wins race. Will KG add more victims to his hit-list, or will Melbourne’s finest put an end to his demolitions? We’ll find out on Saturday at OHNX!

Claiming Your Road to Evo Points

As mentioned previously, OHNX is one of many tournaments around the world making up the Road to Evo in 2012. Competitors that place top 16 in Evo games at these events earn ranked seeds at Evolution in Las Vegas on 6th-8th of July 2012.

If you place top 16 in any of these 4 games at OHNX you will be eligible for Road to Evo points:

  • Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition
  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
  • Soul Calibur V
  • The King of Fighters XIII

To claim your points, you must come to the tournament desk at OHNX and provide us with the email address you will use to register for Evo 2012. If you do not provide us with this information during OHNX then you will forfeit your Road to Evo points. Please make sure you confirm your placing and get your email address to us during the event, because we need to send the details across to Evo as soon as OHNX is over.

OzHadou thanks Evo for including OHNX in the Road to Evo in 2012.

Collecting Passes at OHNX

Since spectators can attend OHNX for free but are not permitted to play any games, we need a way to identify which people are allowed to use the consoles and arcade cabinets we’ll be providing for casual play at OHNX. We’ll do this by issuing OHNX wristbands to all registered players upon arrival.

Here’s a rundown of how the wristbands work: how and when you collect them and what they entitle you to at OHNX.

1) Registration Times

The OHNX Registration Desk will formally be open from 6pm to 11pm, Friday 17th Feb and 10am to 11am, Saturday 18th Feb. If you arrive to collect your pass outside these times you will have to wait until a staff member is available to help you.

2) Collecting your OHNX Pass

Upon first arriving at OHNX you should line up at the registration desk. Have a copy of your Paypal receipt ready with your Gamer Tag and Region as shown on our list of registered players.

3) Keeping your Wristband Safe

Once we’ve confirmed your details we’ll check you off the list and issue you with your OHNX wristband. These wristbands are durable and waterproof, and are intended to last you for all 3 days. DO NOT REMOVE YOUR WRISTBAND until OHNX is over, otherwise you will have to spend time proving your identity to us before a replacement is issued.

4) No Wristband, No Games

Only people wearing wristbands are allowed to play games at OHNX. Nobody should give up their spot on a casual setup for someone without a wristband, and anyone found playing without a wristband will be asked to leave.

5) TTT2 Passes on Friday

Since there will not be any TTT2 cabinets at the OHNX venue on Friday, we expect most TTT2 players will be at the arcade on George St on Friday. FaYd will also be there, and he’ll be able to issue wristbands to people that have only registered for TTT2.

Note that TTT2 players can still collect their passes on Saturday if preferred.

So remember to have a copy of your Paypal receipt ready, make sure you come to collect your wristband during the allocated times and keep your wristband on until OHNX is over. We look forward to seeing everyone at OHNX this weekend.

Prizes from Namco Bandai

We’ve got even more prizes on the way for OHNX, this time from Namco Bandai Partners.

As the official sponsor for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Soul Calibur V Namco Bandai Partners have provided us with these hot new release games to give away:

  • 5 x Soul Calibur V for Xbox 360
  • 5 x Final Fantasy XIII-2 for Xbox 360

We’ll be sharing these prizes between top placing players in the tournaments for TTT2 and SC5, as well as placing a few copies into the OHNX prize raffle, which now has over 30 prizes up for grabs including movies, games and more. The raffle prizes will all be drawn during the finals of OHNX on Sunday the 19th of February. Check the prize section of the tournament rules page to find out exactly how you can win these prizes.

Remember that Namco Bandai Partners are also supporting OHNX by providing one of the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 arcade cabinets that will be available for casual play on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th of February, along with console setups for Soul Calibur V.

OzHadou thanks Namco Bandai Partners for their generous support for OHNX.

    Players to Watch at OHNX

With registrations closed and only days left until OHNX begins, the OHN Team has taken some time to look through the competitors for the official tournaments and picked the people we think have a good chance of making top 8 at OHNX in SSF4:AE, UMvC3 and TTT2.

Click on each official tournament game below to see who we’ve nominated as players to watch for at OHNX. You’ll also find profiles for each of our picks so you won’t be unprepared when you run into these top players during the tournament.

You can discuss our picks and make OHNX predictions of your own by posting in the OHNX predictions thread on the forums.

    HES Sponsors OHNX

We are pleased to announce the participation of our new sponsor, Home Entertainment Suppliers (HES).

HES is the official Australian distributor for Madcatz products in Australia and are supporting OHNX with Street Fighter IV Tournament Edition Round 2 sticks as 1st place prizes for all official tournaments and Road to Evo tournaments. This means 1st place in SSFIV:AE (Xbox 360), UMvC3 (Xbox 360), TTT2 (PS3), SC5 (PS3) and KOF13 (Xbox 360) will all take home a Madcatz Round 2 TE stick along with their cash prize and championship trophy/medal.

HES is also providing OHNX with one of the first available Madcatz Street Fighter x Tekken sticks, which we’ll be giving away to one lucky attendee in the OHNX Raffle Draw during the finals on Sunday.

For more information about HES visit their website, and remember that you’ll be able to purchase your own SFxT arcade stick soon from The Gamesmen.

    SFxT Change of Plans

First up, OHNX sponsor THQ has regretfully announced that they will no longer be able to bring playable builds of Street Fighter X Tekken to OHNX. THQ have expressed their disappointment that they could not make it this time and pledged support for future events.

The good news is that THQ is still sponsoring OHNX by offering a massive prize pack for attendees to enjoy. There’s a lot of stuff coming our way and in the days ahead we’ll announce full details regarding how people will be able to win these great prizes.

The highlight of this prize pack is 10 copies – 5 for PS3 and 5 for Xbox 360 – of Street Fighter X Tekken. These pre-release promo copies will not be available at OHNX but winners will be sent copies before the retail release of SFxT.

The OHN Team thanks THQ for maintaining strong support of the OzHadou Nationals.

    Registrations Closed, Cash Prizes Announced

Registrations for OHNX are now closed. Thanks to everyone that has registered for the event. Please be sure to check the registration list to make sure we have all your details recorded correctly.

With registrations closed we’ve also locked-in the cash prizes for all of the official tournaments. Remember that top 8 in each official tournament – SSF4:AE, TTT2 and UMvC3 – receives prize money. This includes a bonus $200 for TTT2 donated to OHNX by Kevin Lui.

To find out what players can win in the official tournaments at OHNX, visit the Tournament Rules page where we will be providing ongoing updates for prize allocations at OHNX as they become available.

No More Registrations After 10th of February

Thanks to everyone that has registered for official tournaments at OHNX. The numbers are so good that they’ve blown all our estimates. As a result we’ve had to make some cut-backs on the remaining registration options.

Although registration for the official tournaments is now closed, people can still purchase general venue entry for OHN at the “late fee” price of $50. The entry fee entitles you to play any games at OHNX, and also the right to enter any DIY tournaments. This was going to be payable at the door, however we’ve reached our venue capacity earlier than expected.

In order to avoid overcrowding we are now closing all venue entry registrations on Friday the 10th of February. We will NOT be accepting any entry fees at the door. Spectators can enter for free on the day but are not allowed to play any games.

We apologise for the reduced time to register but we feel this is the most fair compromise. So if you were planning to pay at the door please make sure you register online by this Friday.

Results for OHNX: Regionals – Canberra

Results for the final tournament in the OHNX: Regionals series are now available. Follow the link to find out which players earned the remaining OHNX seeding points for SSF4:AE and UMvC3. Discussions of the results for OHNX: Regionals – Canberra can be found in this OzHadou forum thread.

Congratulations to everyone that earned points and prizes during the OHNX: Regionals tournament series. Thanks to everyone that participated, and a special thank you to all those that helped to organise, promote and run an OHNX: Regionals tournament.

If you haven’t already done so, please make sure you can check the OHNX registration list to confirm that you’ve received any ranking points earned for official tournaments that you’re entering.

The OHN Team looks forward to seeing how the seeded players perform at OHNX.

Last Day to Register for Official Tournaments

The final day of official tournament registrations for OHNX is Monday the 6th of February. If you do not pay your competitor venue entry fee AND official tournament entry fees via the registration page by this date you will NOT be able to compete in any official tournaments at OHNX.

For those looking to compete in DIY tournaments or play casual games at OHNX, you should also note that the general venue entry fee will increase to $50 after Monday the 6th of February. Although you can still pay the general entry fee upon arrival at OHNX, we strongly recommend that people lock-in the cheaper rate while they can.

If you have already registered, please take a moment to confirm your details and any applicable seeding points in the registration list at the bottom of the OHNX registration page. Please note that we update this list about once a day. If you have any corrections or concerns please let us know via email.
